Beech Hill Hotel Wedding

Today’s wedding is a bit of a throwback. It features Anthony and Gemma’s Beech Hill Hotel wedding in Derry a few years ago.  I’ve known Anthony and Gemma for some years now so naturally, I was very happy when Gemma asked me to be their wedding photographer. It’s lovely to be able to shoot friends’ weddings once in a while. It’s a test to not get too comfortable and party the day away but also a privilege to be a part of a wedding of someone you already know well. Gemma looked every bit the beautiful vintage bride and Anthony looked very dapper in his blue suit. I loved how Gemma’s shoes complimented Anthony’s outfit and of course, the beautiful Eilidh stole the show. Those big blues.

I had an absolute ball at their wedding. They married in the Beech Hill, Derry holding their reception in the wedding marquee in the stunning grounds. They put a lot of effort into their gorgeous vintage decor. It was a laid back, full of craic affair with family, friends and great food. Anthony even organised a hog roast and pork pie cake, plus had personalised ale just for the day. Probably the most fun wedding I have been too and of course, it was great to know everyone at the wedding for a change and have a bit of a party myself! I’m so grateful to them for having me and thoroughly enjoyed taking their photos.
