Today we’re sharing Amy and TJ’s brilliant Galway City Wedding.

Amy and the girls stayed at the Galway Bay Hotel, whilst the boys rented out a house on the Claddagh in the run up to the wedding. Such a gorgeous spot with quaint coloured houses running the length of the Quay. Perfect place to relax and watch the world go by!  (You can see the church just across the water.)

The boys opted to brave a dive off Salthill Pier in the morning before the ceremony. We walked from the Claddagh to the pier, stopping for a few shots en route. The weather was overcast but pretty warm, which made for an interesting walk carting all my gear with me. There’s something about those moody Galway skies though. Amazing to photograph. I also lost my favourite chevron scarf on that journey.

I joined Amy and the girls in Galway Bay hotel (What a babe. And that dress too! *swoon*) before heading on to meet TJ at St. Mary’s Church. The ceremony was beautiful, with music provided by Amy and TJ’s friends.

After the ceremony, we took a walk around the Claddagh for their wedding portraits before joining everyone on a walk to The Quay’s Bar. A few relaxed tipples were had on Quay Street in the sunshine before we made our way to NUI University.

After a beautiful first dance to ‘You and Me’ by Penny and the Quarters, they started off the night’s partying with Mr Saturday Night doing a DJ set and we partied ’till the wee hours, finishing up in Garvey’s Bar. It was a swell day all in; a mix of rain, sunshine, partying and love. A damn good wedding, I say.

Galway, you owe me one chevron scarf.
